Alright so its Friday and I'm getting ready for one of the most boring weeks ever. Its interim break so everyone is going to be gone for it, except for the spring athletes. So while everyone is at home hanging out, I will be here going to practice at 10 in the morning everyday, great!
We didn't have class today, surprise surprise. So our plan, well Scotty, Max's, and mine was that we were going to go the the homeless shelter at 11. That plan went to waste when we all woke up at 1230. Is that a bad sign if we all start waking up at the same time?
Usually its pretty tough to get me to laugh in the morning, I'm not exactly a morning person, but Craig pulled it off today. He was taking his final for his j-term class today at 830. I woke up at 840 to Craig jumpin' off his bed and yelling shoot as he ran out the door except for he didn't say shoot. So that gave me a little chuckle then I went back to sleep. When I woke up at 1230 Craig was already all packed up and gone for break. This is why we are good roommates, he can be super quiet and I'm a heavy sleeper, I didn't hear him at all. So I have the room to myself for like 12 days, I don't know how much time I am going to be in here, I'm gonna get lonely.lol.
I'm going to be even more lonely because Megan gets back in 4 days :). By her coming back though I am going to lose Max, I have a feeling were going to have to drag him out of Pfluegar to come hang out. Maybe I will be able to get to sleep earlier though at least.
Baseball wise nothing too exciting has developed. I threw live yesterday and threw ok. Our UW transfer hit a hanging change-up 360 ft on a line and short hoped the fence, crap. Im still workig on some mechanics stuff though so that is my excuse. I love todays practices though, because I threw yesterday I just chart todays pitchers bullpen's. Another benefit of being a pitcher, sometimes we don't have to do anything. Coach Gryce makes up for it though by running us until I want to die everyday after practice. I know its good for me, but I hate it. We leave for Arizona in 13 days. I seriously can't wait!
Oh and a random thought, Craig brought some of his friends to the 406 last night, Katie, Carlisle, and a couple others. Somehow Mario Kart broke out, I might have mentioned it but who can tell.lol. Anyways, 3 races, 3 first place finishes, enough said.
Alright well its that time, practice.

Lending a hand
I woke up this morning to Max calling me, saying we had to go to the homeless shelter. It even counted as the morning, Max called at 1045 opposed to my usual off day wakeup time of 2 in the afternoon. So we got Scotty and left. I mean it feels good to help out but I would be lieing if I said we were excited to be there.
When we got there most of what did was sort clothes and hang them up.I did get to know one lady though, Maddy, she said her name was. Maddy was a schizophrenic lady and would keep telling me about mom who suffers from Alzheimer's. Maddy was also a victim of domestic violence from her first husband. She says that her husband now is being sold off by drug dealers. It was also apparent that Maddy was on drugs.
It is little things in life, like meeting Maddy, that makes you truly appreciate what you have. Yes I am in a small dorm room not looking forward to class and practice tomorrow, but things could be so much worse. I could be sleeping under and overpass tonight or at a bus stop.
I help out every Christmas break delivering presents to the needy families of my hometown. That always puts things in prospective. However after time you tend to forget about that and start taking things for granted all over. Maddy will help me remember to appreciate what I have in life. A loving family, a countless number of friends I can turn to, an education, the list goes on.
Thank-you Maddy.
The rest of the day has been uneventful though, Max, Scotty, Andrew, and myself all went and finally enjoyed the Frugals experience. The best burger I've found in Parkland so far. Then we came back and I got motivated and did the laundry. My clothes have been done just sitting in the drier now for awhile, but my motivation stage is over and I don't want to go get them, I am getting way to lazy. I was lazy before I left for school but I am taking it to a whole new level. Is it bad if I'm ok with that?ha
So now I'm just chillin' in my room waiting to go dinner. Right when I said that Max opened the door. DINNER TIME!!

Jerry, Jerry, Jerry
I'm watching Jerry Springer at 1 on a Monday afternoon and I just woke up, its been a good day so far. Right now I'm watching a black couple duke it out on stage because he cheated on her. Combined this couple has to way 700 pounds, very cute. Bombshell time, the girl he cheated on his girlfriend with was born a man. I love this show!!! These people are so white trash.
Anyways confession time, I got beat in Mario Kart, if it really counts. Maxwell beat me twice on Luigi Raceway, a.k.a. the easiest track on the whole game. Both times it came down to the last diamond, he got a lightning the first time he beat me and a star the second. Guess what I got. Yeah a green turtle shell and a triple mushroom. So yeah, as you can see I'm pretty upset about it.lol.
Getting out of bed this morning, well afternoon, was fun. Baseball was brutal yesterday, pitchers have to run so much. The non-pitchers workout was pretty tough too, they sat down and coach talked to them about stealing signs, they are probably sore too. Thats why I am going to love tomorrow though. We have practice at 2:30 today then we have tomorrow off. I can't wait to sit around and do nothing all day.
We leave for Arizona in a little over two weeks, can I just say right now that I am getting stoked! Apparently we get to lounge around a little bit too, its not all business. Laying by the pool in the sun, in 80 degrees when its 40 and raining here, sounds pretty sick. Were still not getting snow :(
Oh and quick word about the football games last night. I didnt get to see the first game and I actually thought the Jets were gonna pull it out. I think Indy is going to be tough to beat. But for the second game, Brett Favre, really? You call two time outs in a row then throw a pick that cost your team the NFC Championship. Not exactly what you would expect from someone who has been in the league for 63 years, give or take a couple. I wanted the Jets and Vikings in the Super Bowl, with my luck it only makes sense that both of those teams lose.
Well its time for me to try to walk over to the locker room and start getting ready for practice, great.

Mario Kart
I forgot how much I loved this game. When I woke up from my daily nap before baseball today Craig had the 64 hooked up and was playin Zelda. I went to practice today, nothing exciting besides we got out pictures takin and I found out my black top is a XXL, great. I don't exactly fill it out.ha.
When I got back from practice and dinner, I went straight to the nintendo. I warmed up by kickin' Craig's a@# on grand prix. I won all 4 races, it's expected though. Thats when it got fun though. Max and I were arguing at practice, he said that he was better than me at everything. I said I was better at ping pong, which I am, but Spencer being the terd he is, said that Max was the better ponger. Then I remembered that Craig got the nintendo hook and I guaranteed him that I was better at that game. I was confident enough to put 5 bucks on it.
So after I got back to my room I texted Max and told him to come down so he could loose. I had my best map, Koopa Troopa Beach, and was Donkey Kong. I started out dominating, I was leading big after the first two laps. But I choked on the last lap, I missed the shortcut through the waterfall and Max clutched up and made it, heartbreak. Even after I put a post on facebook saying I couldn't be beat at Mario Kart.
So Max, aka jerk, ran out of the room screaming. I was pissed.lol. He came back in later and I dominated him in a grand prix and he said it didn't matter because "he wasn't trying." I remember my first excuse. Then we did a series of 7 and of course I killed him in that 4-1, I gave him that first win from earliers so really I beat him 4-0. So we did one last game, double or nothing for that 5 bucks, I wasn't about to lose 10 dollars to Max, so I didn't. We were gonna play for another 5 bucks but he was scared and left with his tail between his legs, probably to go skype Megan.lol.
So now I'm watching my Huskies, I don't know why I root for them. I wish I didn't like them so much.lol. They have played terrible, their at UCLA. They have shot 4-22 in the second half, thats no typo. They can not make a shot to save their souls. They just commited a shooting foul with 7 seconds left and the guy hit the first to tie the game. His second shot hit every part of the rim but of course went in to put them up one. Lenoy Overton actually made a play and made a lay up with 3 seconds to put us up one. UCLA fired up a miracle 3 with no time left and guess what? It went in...
Go Zags!
Well I'm going to go sulk.
I almost forgot, I talked to my dad yesterday, and another person today and it's official, I am going to be spending my summer working and hanging out in Nebraska. I'm getting there right when the College World Series starts so I am going to a couple games, I'm stoked! Spending my summer, in the sun, making money, hanging out with tan, beautiful Nebraskan girls, sounds good to me.

Finally a day off
Alright this is much more like it, I woke up at 2 in the afternoon and don't have a thing to do. Tuesday is our day off of baseball and wow it is needed. I should do a before and after shot of my body before baseball started and after because I am pretty sure I am going to look like fabio by the time baseball is over. The other day we had a workout, it starts out were running 10 laps around the track, and I am thinking crap I didnt do any running in the off-season this is going to suck. Then E says we have to sprint the straight aways.... I wanna die.lol. After the hell run E says alright get down on the track, we got to do the ab workout from P90-X. This was on Saturday, it is now Tuesday and it still hurts my stomach to cough or laugh.lol.
All the running is starting to show though. I am finally getting me legs under me. We threw live yesterday, and I actually felt really good, especially since I hadn't thrown live since the fall. I felt like I had more pop that normal and I did, I was in the low 80's consistently and got up to 83. Coach talked to me after and said he had been noticing a mechanical flaw that is taking away from my momentum and some power. Hopefully I will be able to get that figured out and maybe be able to touch 84 or 85 this year.
Other than baseball the weekend was pretty awesome, Saturday night we just hung out in Max and Spencer's room, what a surprise right? I have watched way too much Entourage lately. I stayed up way too late last night watching again. We have gotten through 3 seasons in 3 days.haha. Then Sunday night we went to The Tuck, the baseball apartments. A bunch of the guys came over and we just hung out, playin pong. I only got one game in that night, we lost :( I made up for it though with my dominate quarters performance.
Oh yeah and last night Max, Robby, and I decided were going to a lot of mariner games this year. We are probably going to get tickets here within the week. Tickets for the first row, right above the bullpen in the left field were 14 bucks. I cant wait especially because the Mariners are winning the world series this year. To you Megan, the Twins suck! Max has never been to a mariner game so he definently needs to be introduced to Safeco. After you see Safeco megan, you wont be able to help but become a Mariner fan.
Alright well I'm goin to hop in the shower, I need to shave too, Im gettin a little scruffy.lol. Probably another exciting day of watching Entourage and listening to Max skype Megan.ha

Because I can...
So today started out awesome, I was able to wake up today without feeling like dieing and realized I had pop tarts in my room :) I walked to class and it wasn't raining, I was wearing my flip flops, and nobody likes a wet sock. Anyways I got to class, on time even, just an awesome start to my thursday. Class went on, boring as always, but we got out after 55 minutes, ps class is supposed to go 3 hours. So yeah I got back to my room and layed down on my futon, a couple hours later I woke up to Mckenzie, jumping on me telling me to wake up...joy. Then Tina came in, so did Craig and Scotty. So I went from napping peacefully to having a full on party in my room.
Its alright we watched "The New Virginity" on VH1. That was exciting. I especially liked the part how they were talking about how Miley Cirus was trying to figure out how to appropriatley change her career from a young innocent one to an adult one.haha. Apparently her picture in Vanity fair was way too scandalous for her young audience.lol.
This where my day started to be not so great, I wont say this is where it turned bad because I actually had a pretty good day besides this one part, baseball practice. Practice actually wasn't that bad. Except for the fact we were outside for the first hour of practice in the cold, rain, and mud. Ab workouts in the mud and rain were a real blast. We went inside after. I through a bullpen and actually threw pretty well for not throwing in awhile. Thats when the real fun started though. Conditioning anyone? It was a lot of sprints in a short amount of time. I got real sore, real fast. Getting out of bed tomorrow at 8 and walking to class is going to be interesting. At least Scotty and Max will get to go through that experience with me.
Anyhow I'm back on the 9th floor watching Max play Assassins Creed, which is almost like playing, but not, so its actually really boring. The things I do for this kid.haha.
Ha Max was just talking to his soon to be girlfriend Megan, who is also one one my best friends here at PLU, so it all works out. Anyways Max was complaing that she was texting while talking to him, which really is annoying by the way, so she fake complained that I was in the room and he was talking to me while she was on the phone trying to make it even. So I got up, did my fake "Im pissed off" tantrum and pretended to leave the room. Max gave her crap sayin she made me leave the room. I just got up, slammed the door, then sat back down. She thought she made me leave the room and felt bad wither she wants to believe it or not. She says she didn't believe I left the room but we both know thats not true.
So I think I'm gonna go now. I got some video game watchin' to do.lol. Other than that I am probably just going to go back to room and go to bed. I might get crazy and go up to the UC to get something to munch on.

Back into the routine
Alright my schedule is back to normal after a first week of j-term that seemed surreal. Yes I didn't have class monday but I have had to wake up at 8 the past two days and will have to the next two days. College would be so awesome if it werent for class. Things could be worse though. Class is supposed to go 3 hours and the longest class has gone so far has been and hour and a half, knock on wood.
One of the other cool parts of this class, besides that it is only an hour and a half, that it only goes 3 days a week, and that I have it with 2 of my other bros Max and Scotty, is that one of the requirements is for us to work 3 hours a week at the local homeless shelter called the crossing. So Max, Scotty, and myself drove over with the rest of my class on tuesday. We got a little confused over where exactly the shelter was. We sat infront of a building for about 10 minutes before realizing that we were infront of a closed down coffee shop and the shelter was the next building down. Not exactly our brightest moment. I can say that I was the one to realize we were in front of the wrong building. One of the kids that rode with us even walked into taco bell across the street only to realize it wasn't open yet. Cut us some slack, it was still early!
Anyway once we got into the shelter we just sat in the lobby and waited for our professor to limp into the room. The man in charge of the shelter was very nice and very excited for us to be there. The shelter is completly religously motivated. There were two prayer rooms for the homeless. Once somebody shows up they are taken directly into one of the rooms and prayed for. I look forward to being able to help out and getting to know some of these people.
Today was also our first day of practice. It went well, most of it was testing. In our timing for 90 ft., aka time from home plate to first base, I got an unimpressive 4.01 both times. Scotty got a 4.00 both times, that terd. After practice we had a team meeting, behave and try your hardest and all that fun stuff that I have only heard 200 times in my life. With 5 minutes left in the meeting coach said we have another fundraiser. I HATE HATE HATE fundraisers.ugh.
After practice we all went to dinner then came back and just hung out. Max and I are big American Idol fans so we watched that. We didnt know it was goin to be on again tonight so that was our excitement of the night.
I came back and went up to max's room for a bit. He started talking to Megan, his soon to be girlfriend, snor, so I came back to my room and got me to here, writting on my blog, watching sportscenter, at 12:30 at night, I need a life.haha.

haha thought I would throw in a picture of the bros. Spenc, Max, Luis, Scotty, and the stud on the right is yours truely. This is a sunday at Scotty's, you can't tell but it was snowing, we were excited. By we I mean I was excited, but its cool.

First Weekend Back from Break
So I am once again up way too late on another night on campus. Lucky for me though I am enjoying night three of my five day weekend thanks to j-term and my professor cancelling class due to a bum knee. Like usual I am sitting in Max and Spencer's room. Max is playing video games and Spenc is trying to figure out a video editing computer program that he just downloaded.
Spencer got a video camera that we plan to bring on us on our weekend adventures and baseball trips, the camera has already developed the knickname of the "brocam." I proudly take credit for thinking up the name.
All the guys spent the day at Scotty's house in Gig Harbor today. This has become our sunday ritual. We wake up in the morning, and by waking up in the morning I mean noonish, we tend to sleep a little longer on the weekends for one reason or another, and drive to Scotty's to see Momma McGallion and eat arguably the worlds greatest biscuits and gravey. We usually just spend the day being extremely lazy watching football and falling in and out of sleep.
Today we brought out the poker chips. I hadn't played texas hold em' since probably 8th grade when I would play every weekend with Tegan and Aj. I held my own though. We all put in five dollars and I finished even. I will take it.
We finished playing just in time to catch the blazers game, the played the Cavs on ESPN. There is a mix of Blazer fans amongst the bros. Max and Luis are hardcore blazer fans, Spenc and myself will pull for Portland but aren't as diehard as Max or Luis, and Scotty doesn't care for the Blazers but just watched because we did.
Spencer definently got yelled at because he had Lebron and Mo Williams on his fantasy basketball team and he was pulling for them to put up numbers. The Blazers were losing the whole game but pulled even with about 5 minutes. Max and I started wresting over the fact if Tina, one of our best girlfriends, had red hair or not. I said she did not, her hair is definently strawberry blonde, Max, and everyone else said her hair was red. I held my ground though. Max and I wrestled for probably 20 minutes, so we missed the end of the game. The Blazers ended up losing by 12 so I actually saved myself some frustration. I still stand by my belief, that Tina's hair is not red! In time pictures will be up and you can decide for yourself.
Videos from the brocam and pictures will hopefully get up soon. Until next time

Post 1
Today was the first day of classes after coming back from christmas break, and yes it is chirstmas break, not winter break. Since when did we all get so political? Anyhow, I like every other PLU student was not exactly looking forward to going to class, especially when that class happens to be at 8:30 in the morning. Waking up for that class was not going to be nearly as exciting as my normal noon wake-up over break.
Waking up has never been one of my strong suits but ironically one of my best friends, Max, is arguably one of the loudest people on campus. He was the first person I happened to see this morning. I'll just say waking up wasn't as hard as it usually is.
I walked to my class, that I have with Max and my other good buddy Scotty, and after 15 minutes the professor did not show up. One kid left and a girl then said, what is she going to do if we all leave? We sat there for a second, then everyone started packing up their bags and left. Not a bad first day back. Seeing how I was actually up in time for breakfast Max, Scotty, and I all went to breakfast. Not too exciting.haha.
This is just one of my test runs for my blog, it being my first post. I know it is so terribly exciting, dont worry though. They will get more enjoyable. Especially when I get to share my weekend adventures with the "Weekend Warriors" or WW thats what we like to call ourselves, or the "bros." You will hear a lot about the WW or bros. I am talking about Max, Scotty, Luis, Spencer, myself and occasionally Craig, my roomate.
So until my next post, see ya later, I'm going to go watch The Hangover with the bros, told you I would mention them.
